Ever wanted to learn to dance Salsa or Latin dancing in general? Looking for something to do on the weekend or after work? Want to get more social and meet friendly people? Got “two left feet”?
We got you!
No dance experience? No problem. Our relaxed, in-person 4-week Introduction to Latin Dancing course is a fun, social way to get moving, try something new, and build confidence from the very first class.
Think you can’t dance? You’re exactly who this is for. Our easygoing 4-week Introduction to Latin Dancing course is designed for complete beginners who want something fun, social, and active — without pressure or judgement.
Mostly because it’s simply a fun way to use your time. It gets you out of the house, doing something active and social — and yes, it’s a pretty solid upgrade from another night on the couch (Netflix isn’t going anywhere 😉).
Latin dancing has a huge presence in Melbourne, with thousands of people taking classes and heading to social dance events every week. One of the best parts is the mix of people you meet — students, professionals, creatives, tradespeople, business owners and everything in between. No “dance type,” just everyday people trying something new.
And if travel is your thing, Salsa and Bachata are danced all over the world. This course is designed to take you from feeling uncoordinated or unsure to confidently understanding and dancing the basics, so you can walk into classes or events anywhere and feel at home.

If you’ve ever wanted to try Salsa Dancing then here is your chance!
We guarantee you’ll have countless laughs, meet new friends, and surprise yourself with how you REALLY dance…but a WARNING: Salsa Dancing is HIGHLY addictive!
Our Salsa Beginners classes are designed to teach absolute first timers the basics of salsa dancing. You only need these 3 or 4 steps to be able to hit the floor!
Absolutely not! Most of our students start with zero dance experience — that’s exactly what our beginner classes are for. We’ll guide you step by step, starting with the basics, so you can feel confident, comfortable, and actually enjoy yourself instead of worrying about getting it “right.”
And don’t worry — everyone else in the room is learning too, so you’ll be in great company. If you can walk, you can salsa. (And if you can count to eight, you’re basically ahead of the game.) 💃
If you have one, bring them! It's fun together!
If not, no worries at all, everyone who doesn't have their own partner can rotate among the others in the class! (most people come without a partner)
Totally fine! If you come with friends thats great, but if not then it's actually one of the best places to meet new friends!
Comfortable clothing - casual clothes or activewear is fine!
If you have dance shoes, bring those, otherwise, flats or sneakers recommended.
Perfect! We specialize in left-foot conversions. (Results may vary, but fun is guaranteed.)
Usually within a few classes you’ll be able to get out on the floor and not just survive — actually enjoy it. Confidence builds quickly here.
We have a full roadmap from absolute beginner all the way up to instructor-level dancer (if you catch the bug — and you will).
Everyone! Young professionals, students, couples, solo adventurers — all here for the same reason: to have fun, meet people, and learn to dance.
As an adult level class you need to be 18+ or 16+ if accompanied by a parent or guardian.
The average age is between 21-45 years old but we do have older students too!
Absolutely. Our instructors are pros at making nervous newcomers feel at home — we were all there once.
You can, but fair warning: after five minutes, your feet will start tapping and you’ll wish you’d joined in.
Salsa and Bachata are our main jams — both super fun, social, and easy to start.
We welcome everyone — but not everything. This class isn’t for you if:
❌ You’ve misplaced your sense of humor. (Seriously, it’s salsa, not a board meeting.)
❌ You’re just here to pick up dates instead of dance moves. Wrong kind of rhythm, my friend.
❌ You can’t handle people laughing, learning, and not taking themselves too seriously.
❌ You’re a Karen or are easily offended. Enough said. 😄 (if your actual name IS Karen but you're chill and fun, apologies, please come!)
At TSF, we’re all about fun, respect, and good vibes. If you’re here to learn, meet great people, and laugh along the way — you’re our kind of human.
