Here's the plan!
Week 1 Foundations: Posture, Frame & Isolation Establish proper posture and dance frame. Begin chest, torso, and hip isolation drills. Build awareness of how different parts of the body move independently.
Week 2 Flow & Control Learn how to connect movements fluidly. Train transitions between isolations. Focus on tension release and mastering movement that feels smooth, not forced.
Week 3 Movement in Steps Apply body movement to core salsa steps: forward basic, side basic, CBL, and spot turns. Learn how to integrate movement into steps without breaking timing.
Week 4 Practical Application & Assessment Use drills and real-music practice to test what you've learned. Final assessment includes: posture, isolation clarity, application in steps, and overall fluidity. Receive personal feedback and next steps.

We focus on control, balance, and precision — not just speed.

Use proper prep and momentum without over-muscling it
Stay grounded, centred, and consistent — no matter the tempo

Week 1 Foundations of Turning Technique Learn the core mechanics: posture, prep, spotting, and balance. Build awareness of your axis and how to stay centred during turns. Start with single turns, done well.
Week 2 Momentum, Speed & Control Learn how to generate rotation without overusing force. Develop smooth entries and controlled exits. Work on speed without sacrificing technique.
Week 3 Spins in Partnerwork Apply technique to common turn patterns (right turns, left turns, CBL variations). Practice leading/following spins with precision and consistency.
Week 4 Practical Application & Assessment Partner drills, solo drills, and freestyle application. Assessment covers: spotting, balance, turn consistency, and control in both solo and partner spins. Feedback given for further progression.

Week 1 – Finding the "1"
Learn to hear and feel the start of the phrase. Train your ear to lock onto the beat — no more second-guessing your timing.
Week 2 – Clave, Conga & Cowbell
Understand the core percussion instruments that drive salsa. Learn how they interact and how to follow their lead on the dance floor.
Week 3 – Dancing With the Music
Learn how to match your movement to musical changes — breaks, drops, and builds. This is where timing meets expression.
Week 4 – Practical Application & Assessment
We bring it all together. Musical drills, partner exercises, and freestyle work to sharpen your timing in real social dancing scenarios.
